An unfortunate fact of business is that money isn't always coming in, sometimes it has to go out. When receiving a delivery for example, you might need to pay with cash from the cash drawer, and SpeedyPOS has no Paid Out facility. What do you do?

The solution is simple. Create a non-inventory category, and create in it an item called "Paid Out" (or whatever you like). When you need to remove money from the cash drawer simply sell one of these Paid Out items, set the price to the amount you're removing from the till, and change the quantity to -1. Tender it with Cash, and presto!

Be sure to set the Paid Out item to GST Exempt status!

You can also run reports on how much you're paying out, by running a Category/Item Sales report on the Paid Out item.
